@markwyner You need armed resistance, something the Democrats (and hence the vast majority of liberals) will never do because of decades of “violence is never the answer” propaganda. Listen, and listen well: pacifism will only ever work if the other side reckons that violence will be more trouble than it’s worth. They will just shoot unarmed, peaceful protesters if they think you won’t fight back. Hence the need for armed resistance.
