@marcrr @biorxivpreprint I accept as many as I receive.. but not beyond that. I still want my papers to appear in journals too...

As a freelance academic, I do not engage in unpaid work for commercial publishers, out of principle.

Truly open access and non-profit society journals are a different issue. Those reviews I still do for free.

Finally, I'll never review for the glam tabloids again. Even if they'd offer to pay me good money. Fuck them. The true bane of modern academic life.
