Your AI graphic for your blog post makes me doubt the value of reading it.

@bojacobs Garbage In, Garbage Out

@ai6yr @bojacobs

Garbage in, garbage out, garbage everywhere, hey can I invite you to attend our symposium on ethical open source garbage?!?!?

@rl_dane @ai6yr Haha. Thanks, but just a guy with an attitude, no actual engagement in the field.

@bojacobs @ai6yr

No, no, I was just lampooning some actual toots I've seen on here. From supposed open source ethical AI initiatives, whatever, whatever, whatever. 😁

@bojacobs Yep, especially if the blog text isn't meticulously referenced. Like I'm gonna waste time fact-checking something that's likely also just spewed out by an LLM and riddled with inaccuracies. 🙄
@bojacobs for me it's a strong signal that the blogger is not seriously engaging with the social, cultural or political impacts of the current generation of AI, so anything they have to say about software and society, or sociotechnical systems, can safely be ignored.

@bojacobs

I just straight up block any channel that covers AI positively or has AI thumbnails/content etc.

@bojacobs I am collecting the worst of these as Sadly Robotic Metaphors — best thing is anyone can use the Share link to add more pathetic images.
