I'm watching a letsplay of a horror game and it's got an inkjet printer in it that makes dot matrix noises.

Now that's horror: they've invented the impact inkjet

I let the 6-line CRT slide because it's like MovieOS: you gotta make it big enough to see, and screens-inside-games have different text size requirements to real screens.
BUT THERE'S NO EXCUSE FOR THE PRINTER MAKING THE WRONG NOISES
also the CRT goes to static at one point. I'm gonna say that's caused by Supernatural Action because there's no way that little monochrome computer CRT has a tuner in it.
Steamで40% OFF:Dollmare

You've accepted a shady job offer at a doll factory. Inspect dolls for defects and anomalies. Follow strange protocols. Don't get fired and stay alive.

the game is also another one in the new genre of "a company realizes their factory is producing haunted products, so they just hire a guy to QC them and bin the haunted inventory".

It's such a hilarious capitalism trope

look, we may have built this factory on a combination native american burial ground, ley line, and temporal rift, but factories aren't cheap, son. It's way more cost-effective to just get a minimum wage guy to check all the output for a patina of ancient evil.
if the thing is fine, hit this green button. if it's full of the souls of the damned reaching out to corrupt all they touch, press the red button. you get one half-hour lunch break per 8 hours worked. you can't sit down.
sorry, OSHA doesn't cover threats to your immortal soul. separation of church and state and all that. get back to work.
calling my lawyer to ask if it's legal for me to damn my employees to eternal torment in the 6th circle of hell.

like sure, they'll be nailed to inverted burning crosses for all eternity, but that only happens AFTER they die, and if they're dead then they're not working for me anymore, by definition?
(INCORRECT) MULTIOCULAR O SPOTTED! SHOUT OUT TO THE OBSCURE UNICODE FANDOM
@foone I think it says "Do not stack toilet paper in this pattern. It's incredibly unstable."
@foone Please do not the multiocular o
@foone This text is from Bolo'Bolo (1983) right?
@foone Considering that the multiocular O is attested in one single manuscript, I am not opposed to its removal from the Unicode standard.
@ossobuffo @foone nothing ever gets removed from Unicode, just deprecated. The multiocular O is eternal.
@someonetellmetosleep the best part is said multiocular o is incorrect, it's missing a whole bunch of o's!
@foone come on we all know obscure old church slavonic! c:
