Picking up where I left off yesterday: trying to organize certain kitchen things. (Excavating, purging, and reorganizing cupboard contents is a grueling task for Another Day.) So I’m trying to figure out what to do with: cookbooks! And food magazines! I’m thinking some kind of “shelf” for “books” if such a thing exists. We’ll figure that out. Meanwhile? SURE AM GLAD I SAVED ALL OF THESE FOR SOME REASON 🙃
It has been three days and every cookbook I own is still just hanging out on the dining room table, waiting for me to figure out where a shelf could go. 🫠
Okay. It’s been a month. The cookbooks have long since been dealt with (at least temporarily.) We took a long break from trying to purge and organize the guest room so we could continue to pack it full of inconvenient items during The Holidays, but now it is time. It is time to deal with…this:
Starting with the lowest hanging fruit: items that already have a home and simply need to be put back where they live + blatant trash that needs to get sorted into the appropriate recycling receptacle.
Listening to Ed Zitron’s CES series, which has been a lot of fun so far.
I'm feeling a lot less sick than my husband so I'm puttering around a little and trying to purge/organize/consolidate mementos & miscellany while he naps, poor bastard.
I found my childhood baseball card collection! I'd assumed I'd lost it forever.
Sadly, I don't know enough about baseball to use these for #cartomancy.
Even though they haven’t been in the same league as the Astros in like a decade, @jdekg still gets a little mad when he’s reminded the Saint Louis Cardinals exist. And he’s happy I found a Biggio and a Bagwell, among other ‘Stros. 💫
Anyway I think I should organize my cards into a sleek binder like a serious hobbyist. I’ll arrange them in order of how handsome I judge each of these baseball men.
