Trying to get an EIN so we can set up a fancy grownup business checking account but finding ourselves thwarted at every turn. Apparently the IRS is not processing faxed submissions, so the request we sent in must've fallen into the void. The website refuses to do it, and when I call the number they refer me to, the recording just says they have too many requests and can't help anybody now.
(Complaining about the IRS is smart Small Business Marketing, I assume.)
