During the night, a Russian drone carrying a high-explosive warhead struck the protective sarcophagus covering Reactor No. 4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Fortunately, radiation levels inside and outside the facility remain normal and stable, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The sarcophagus was originally constructed to contain radioactive contamination following the catastrophic 1986 Chernobyl disaster.
