It is the year 2025 and I just fixed a bug in a VT100 emulator. For work.
@jwz we call that God's work 🙏 ps what did my toilet get named
@jwz Plato saw him fixing VT100 emulators, came up to him and quietly said to him, "Had you paid court to Musk, you wouldn’t now be fixing VT100 emulators," and that he with equal calmness made answer, "If you had fixed VT100 emulators, you wouldn’t have paid court to Musk."
@jwz living the dream!
@jwz Got to say, I find the idea of fixing VT100 emulator bugs for a nightclub amusing in about the same way that hearing about some poor schmuck having to fix VT100 emulator bugs for, say, a bank’s legacy platform or some critical energy infrastructure’s production systems would seem bleak.
@jwz How old was this bug? ;)
@jwz Sometimes, there is no escape!🙃
@jwz is this place hiring? 🤣
@jwz Demand a genuine VT100 for unit testing..... (Ah vt100 emulation writing, warm warm memories)
@jwz It is virtuous to preserve the ways of the ancestors.
