I have attempted to configure/self host #NextCloud with an office suite on and off for well over 5 years. It never quite works. I have tried multiple approaches with and without docker and possibly some other variations.

The terminology is contradictory and confusing (Document Server/Collabora…). I have been online since before the web was invented (Fidonet), I registered my first domain in 1999, I do web apps for a living. Is it me or is NextCloud with an office suite hard to set up?

@marcusgreen I haven't had problems with nextcloud itself per se, but the integration with collabora has been the most error-prone component. Running the docker container with the built-in collabora server has at least been stable for many months now.
