BLAH I'm actually giving yet another public talk tonight. I'm updating the one I did 5 days ago. Turns out there were 30 fewer Starlink satellites in orbit 5 days ago.
Over 7,000 Starlink satellites in orbit now, out of over 7,900 launched.
They've already burned up 900 Starlink satellites in the atmosphere. Because disposability is the way of the future!
Fuck.
@sundogplanets @iveyline Well, "we" as a humanity certainly have screwed it up.
But what "we" really have done is vote for jackasses to power positions, who then refuse to regulate the corporations so that this punished for.
The belief in the invisible hand and "job creators" is so massive, that it completely outweighs any concerns about environment.
Profits for the greedy few, problems for all the rest and future generations.
