Feature OCR

@joplinapp Really nice feature! Thanks a lot for the effort.
I noticed that in your video the search does look different to my Joplin Desktop application where search is just an input field instead of a popup. And I wondered why the media files that match the search query are displayed as some kind of (unremovable) banner at the top of the note. Is that adjustable or are you using a preview version of Joplin?
@copperhead12 Hello, thank you for your feedback!
For the search function, it's the go to anything function, it has the same principle as the search function as said in the video but I used it out of habit.
For the second part of your question, I don't know which media you're talking about. If it's the image with the Joplin preview, it's simply a media that I had added in advance in the note to show the OCR function.
@joplinapp I have been using Joplin for over 5 years and I didn't know that there is another search function with "Go > Goto Anything...". That explains it. Thank you!
When using the filter input field, the results of the media files are displayed at the top of the note. There can be a lot of results so that the visibility of the note is restricted as this "banner" keeps being on the top when scrolling. Not a big deal, but sometimes annoying.
@joplinapp Can one opt in to beta test pre release versions and if so how?
@JeffBishop Hi Jeff, the relevant information is on this link: https://joplinapp.org/help/about/prereleases/
Getting pre-releases | Joplin

Pre-releases are available for desktop, Android and iOS. They are pretty much like regular releases, except that they have not yet been tested by many users so it is possible that a bug or two went...

@JeffBishop @joplinapp There's no pre-release for the 3.3.x desktop version right now, but I've raised the issue internally! I plan to post an update here when a new pre-release is planned/created (which will hopefully be soon).
@JeffBishop @joplinapp A pre-release version has been created and is available at https://github.com/laurent22/joplin/releases/tag/v3.3.1. Be aware that the notification-related pull request is still open, so there will still be a few update/note deletion notification accessibility issues. Please let us know if you have any feedback!

@personalizedrefrigerator @joplinapp Amazing! Thank you. I am updating now! If I check for updates with a prerelease should it notify me of updates or do I need to check the web page for updates?
@JeffBishop @joplinapp I think so. There's a setting that may need to be changed: In the "application" tab of settings, enable "Get pre-releases when checking for updates". Click "OK", then open the "help" application menu and click "check for updates". (Note: If you've enabled "enable auto-updates" under advanced settings in "Application", it may be necessary to disable it).
