Hey! I'd like to introduce Walter, @waltermixxx
He likes (among other things) #RetroComputing, #3dPrinting and noodling about with #synths. I'm not sure if there's a hashtag for this, but if there's anyone else out there who likes the #RCA1802, you should talk

Also, if there's an old computer, Walter's probably added flash storage to it, *somehow*

@scruss @waltermixxx #rca1802 #comx35 #comix35 Hiya Walter (and Stewart)

Any time spent on the COMX-35 or the @tubetime recreation COMiX-35?

I'd built a COMiX-35, it was a great experience, but I never finished off entirely as I had no "modern and convenient" storage solutions for it.

There is a floppy drive controller project here -> https://github.com/wel97459/COMiX-FloppyDiskController

@scruss @waltermixxx @tubetime I've not had much luck with the gotek elsewhere. I'd still need to get pcbs ordered, program(GALs) and assemble the floppy controller, before tackling the gotek configuration.

There was a COMX super board expansion with joystick ports and usb interface(among other things), but it looks like it's no longer being worked on

Not trying to come across ungrateful (the projects discussed are fantastic) or lazy. I just lack skills above a point.

@radventure Goteks can be extreme hassle, I agree. And I'd love it if every retro computer remake had at least a way to save data to SD card

@radventure @scruss @tubetime

there was also an FTDI based storage solution for the Comix-35. It required a modified firmware but it did work. :)
