I've started posting on LinkedIn all the unconstitutional shit Trump and Musk are doing to undermine the security and integrity of our government. Mainly because that crowd needs to hear it most. It's incredible how many people in the infosec space are still defending the actions of DOGE and its dear leader(s). And they're not all crypto bros and AI peddlers; we're talking about people in some pretty important roles, tech-wise.

But at least when they reply with the inevitable "stay in your lane" or "I used to like you when you stayed out of politics," they are on record as complicit and totally okay with what is going on.

Here's one of but many examples.

“Typical Wired hyperbole IMO.” – Rich Beamer

@briankrebs so reporting on the simple fact that the InfoSec experts at the US Treasury have deemed DOGE an insider threat is “hyperbole” coming out of Wired, not hyperbole coming from the US Treasury InfoSec, so says a Trump fanboy who manages InfoSec at the Capital One corporation.

We truly live in a post-fact nation: all facts are “opinions,” the opinions with the most money behind them are “The Truth.” Evidence has nothing to do with it.

It started by disregarding basic science on evolutionary theory, then disregarding science on the environment and pollution, then disregarding science about modern medicine of vaccines, then disregarding the phenomenon of transgender people, then disregarding even basic germ theory during COVID-19.

Now they have leveled-up to disregarding technical expertise on basic information security.
