for the longest time i was an agnostic, but my image of god is now complete. i now have a clear picture of god, and while it doesn't have full overlap with the god as imagined by most world religions, it is compatible with mainstream science and the civic mindset. it's also quite disappointing to anyone expecting something mindblowing.

rather than telling you right away, i'm willing to answer 20 questions with yes/no/irrelevant instead.

@lritter Is it god of the gaps? Does it play dice?
@drq no. sometimes.
@lritter Is it personal/conscious?
@drq "personal"?
@lritter Does it have a personality or consciousness?
@lritter does your god have an autonomous presence in our space-time continuum?
@lritter is this entity considered god because it destroyed its creator?
@lritter does this god predate the Big Bang?
@plastichymn haha no
@lritter does god have faster than light travel?

@lritter eh I'm more surprised that you don't believe in wormholes than that you believe you found a definition for a plausible god.

Wormholes don't have to be a common occurrence, could be some freak black hole interaction

@plastichymn i did not say i don't believe in wormholes
@lritter I believe religion is about community, ritual, hierarchy. All that god stuff was added to keep the nerds occupied.
@plastichymn then you will like my version of god
@lritter [being part of god] do we perceive reality via god [as in, reality does not exist outside of god]
@lvk that's two questions. the first one: yes. the second one: no, reality does exist outside of god.
@lritter πŸ‘ you might enjoy Ken Wilber's early works
@lvk i clarified my answer. do you still believe i'd like them?
@lritter maybe. although its generally more exciting to philosophize in these things yourself. Having that said, there have been many people before you trying to integrate all possible views (wilbers AQAL does a fairly good job at it)
@lvk i didn't integrate all possible views. my version of god is limited
@lritter sounds cool, there's freedom in limitation
@lritter are you god?
@fabs @lritter i could see Leonard going more the rastafarian way. Not that he is god, but that we all are god, perhaps fractured into slivers to make individuals.
@demofox @lritter the logician in me says they are overlapping sets. πŸ˜‚
@lritter Could your god do an AMA on Reddit/Lemmy? If yes, what could possible be his chosen holy account name?
@ASalazar no. logistically difficult.
@lritter does your god have its own agency and if so is it a non-deterministic being (i.e. can your god be differentiated and predicted given a full knowledge of its state)?
@DirtyPunk that's an open question.
@lritter could your god make a sandwhich so large not even it could eat the whole thing?
@lritter are your god and the origin story of the uni/multiverse causally linked?

@lritter Do they have four legs?

@lritter Is god a meme (original scientific meaning)?
