Additional fuckery found in the cable bin.
The usb micro and assorted fuckery is contained for now.
@th That looks like a radio programming cable. Incidentally I bought an Anytone DMR radio recently, still uses the same sort of USB-Serial shenanigans as the old Baofeng.
@billiegrace @th I think I had a Texas Instruments graphing calculator with a similar cable
@petes_bread_eqn_xls @th the tip ring ring serial was a thing back in the day.
@billiegrace @th My thinking went to some serial port shenanigans as well. I had a couple of those that used a TRS connection. (Because I guess its easy to source the components.)
@th I have one of these. Mine is from a child's digital camera combined with a sticker camera made by Polaroid before they went tits up.
@th I have two of these, one for a mini camera and one for an mp3 player
@th it's the Exposure bike light's long lost mad uncle! Family reunions perhaps ill advised.
@th I have a low-power pen-sized soldering iron powered by this one.
@th Yes, if you find a 4-6G iPod, you can replace the hard drive with a RAID array of SD cards and you have a pretty sweet high-capacity audio player
@th Keep 1 or 2, chuck the rest (my philosophy anyway)
@th probably worth keeping at least one around
@th I have an old friend for your old friend
@th inspired me to finally fix my 2005 model, parts ordered!
@th those cables are not that easy to find anymore! I recently used Legacy-iOS-Kit to dump an old iPhone 4 I had lying around, good stuff.
