I'd recommend #matrix over Signal. encrypted as well but also decentralized.
we can go viral, there's just no algo assistance. if it happens (like happened with this post!), you know you earned it. and didn't make any corporation money in the process.
do you support #ccmusic? I think that's inherently punk.
Disagree on matrix vs Signal, simply too many reasons to state but you have to know your audience. Not interested in debating it further though.
IMO virality implies a level of exponential spread and life-changing following overnight. And I don't think that happens here, nor easily can (and I think that's a positive).
Punk was doing CC before CC existed and will continue to do so. No need for fine print.
@The_Counterforce another vote on Matrix instead of Signal, for any serious messaging.
Signal has your phone number and IP address so they probably know your identity and CAN track you if they want to do so. Or are forced to do so. It's also not proper open source or an open standard (like ActivityPub or Matrix are).
