What's your favorite #fountainpen #ink?
@vernilla Right now, it's between Diamine Masquerade and Akkenman Voorhout Violet - what about you?
@GlassHorns I've been using Diamine terracotta the most, it's my first from that brand and I've been really happy with it. Unfortunately I went crazy buying lots of Ferris Wheel Press colors and although they are beautiful, I just can't get them to flow well in any of my pens.

@vernilla 1. What pens do you have that you tried them in?
2. Are these Ferris Wheel Press shimmer inks or also non-shimmer (too dry?)

A flow aid like White Lightning may help with getting drier inks to work.

@paradoxmo they are the shimmer inks.
1. Pilot metropolitan (stub)
2. Lamy safari (f &m)
3. Twisbi eco - works best with this one and the medium nib
4. Kaweco sport (f &m)
@vernilla None of those are particularly good for shimmer IME. For shimmer, I recommend Wing Sung 698, Scrikss 419, or any Pelikan piston filler (like M200/205 or M150)
@paradoxmo thanks I'll have to look into those because I really love the shimmer

@vernilla white lightning from Vanness1938 is a great additive for dry inks. If you do get it, as a warning, you only need to use the TINIEST amount! Overdoing it will make the ink too wet and feather like crazy.

Another option that is a bit more accessible is adding a toothpick points worth of dish soap to a converter of said dry ink.

Ferris Wheel Press inks are gorgeous - unfortunately, a lot of them tend towards being dry 😵‍💫
