Our petition to make #FOSDEM Junior fully free, open, self-determined, and privacy-first has been signed by 92 individuals and organisations and received by @fosdem .

While the #RaspberryPi Foundation outright refused to even talk to us, the FOSDEM representative sympathised with our campaign and promised to raise our concerns within the team.

We offered counseling and support to any extent desired by the crew.

@Teckids @fosdem I am not part of the organization or have anything to do with AppInventor, but I know you were told in advance that the AppInventor workshop did *not* require *anyone* to log into any of Google's services.

In fact, AppInventor *needs* to be able to be used without a Google account so they can operate in parts of the world where Google isn't available.

Why, then, spread information that *you know* isn't true? How is this helping your cause?

First of all, we are not aware of anyone telling us that in advance. We did not receive any response at all from anyone concerning that matter. If you have other information, please show us where to find it, and where it was sent to us.

The information we have is limited to the fact that the official website forcefully redirects to a Google login when clicking the "Create Apps" button. And this alone disqualifies it from being used with children.
