JanisOK, world, IMO, we need a new hashtag: #Autistic50+ , not limited to, but focused on folks who've experienced some years (decades) as an adult without a diagnosis/identification.

@autoperipatetikos @panda It takes a while for things to get coordinated, and then disruption is pretty likely, with every group.
Hashtags are like opening your eyes to see everything in the room that's, say, red. (That'd be a search for one.) On the other end, you use one to put a red thing in the room, so other folks who look for red can find it. It doesn't have to be complicated like some people make it out to be.
@janisf do you use Facebook? If you do (I can't honestly say it's a good idea) there are a couple of groups that you might like: Asperdames and Auties and Menopause. I think they need a heads up to add people, so I could ask if you like.

But yes, if you tell them we're working on a hastag, and we're here, and welcoming, I'd love, love, love to get people federated and off of Facebook (or all of meta's platforms, Insta and Threads)

@janisf sorry for being quiet on this. I wasn't sure why I was hesitating, but I realised after I thought about it that I'm afraid of posting on Facebook. It's personal reasons (never mind the big tech evils). Very embarrassed about not having the energy to keep up and participate.
@autoperipatetikos It was a generous offer, but really, there's not much in which to participate at the moment. It's all good, while communicating with those folks on FB can happen another way--the whole point of a hashtag is to be easier to find.
You signed no contract. Though it's nice to know you won't be rallying FB folk, NT's walk away from offhand offers like this, and wait for the complaints to come before superimposing a reason to apologize.
