I really like the Flantastic Seven challenges. Well, most of them. The sour cherry one, which is technically the first one you get, is really difficult. Because you need to pass 10 000 points to get just one cherry, and if you hit, what, five obstacles, it’s game over.
My favorites are the strawberry one in Toy Box, the orange one in the Kingdom of Corona and the melon one in the Caribbean. I still have San Fransokyo to even get to, I forget what the honeydew flan challenge was like.
I am grinding the cherry one because for once I want to finish Remy’s bistro mini games.
This never made sense to me. Dark Riku wanted to make a heart out of data using the first Baymax’s ”heart”. And then summoned this first Baymax as a ”dark Baymax” because to complete the heart it needed sadness which Sora would apparently cause by destroying the first Baymax that was now dark because the card was infused with darkness. Which he didn’t really do, just depleted its energy which then caused it to go into standby mode.
And somehow destroying this literally corrupted memory card was supposed to be a sad, difficult thing to do. Once Hiro pulled the card out of the first Baymax, all the darkness was gone. All they need to do is replace the corrupted combat command card with the healthcare card. Which is exactly what they do in the next scene, and we have two healthcare companions.
I have no clue what the person who wrote this part of the story in this game was thinking 😂
I did manage to do what I wanted, basically. I still have one recipe to do, but I ran out of the flan ingredients, because the final one is of course cracking the egg and it’s the most difficult one of all of the egg cracking ones 🙄 But I know I can’t get all of the special recipes to excellent so this will do.
I got all of the ingredients in the game, found all of the lucky emblems, played all of the classic kingdom games so that each has a high score and played all of the flan challenges. Now it’s just gaining access to all of the treasures and one more photo mission and I’m done with collectibles.
But first I have to beat the game.
😂 I love it, I beat Dark Riku with the blaster attraction ride 🤣
They’re a silly addition to the fight sequences and you can trigger them even during the final fights!
I mean who wouldn’t love to defeat a boss while riding a brightly lit up teacup ride or a carousel?
Main game is done, including the necessary ”omg, these endings are so heartwarming and touching” crying bit with the end credits, which seems to have become the norm with this series. Simple and Clean is able to set me off almost straight away, so starting KH1 is sometimes a gamble 😅
I got all of the treasure chests and all of the photo missions. I figured I’ll tackled the battlegates next, since I was never able to do much with those on the PS version of the game. Highly unsure about being able to synthesize the Ultima Weapon, but we’ll see. I know I won’t be able to synthesize all of the items anyway, but would be cool to do that for once. But as I say, it’s unlikely since I’ve upgraded most of my keyblades past the halfway mark.
Got a bit side tracked in The Caribbean. I’m over halfway done with defeating 200 enemy ships, and since I have the Pearl now, beating the tougher ones it a tad easier.
I’m no completionist, but if there’s an achievement I think I can get, I go for it.
Okay, 200 ships defeated, every minigame played, battlegates done, treasures, emblems, flans… everything I can think of doing has been done.
Of course there’s one more thing before Melody of Memory, but I’m not paying what they’re asking for Re:Mind, so I’m watching the cutscenes. It takes place during KH3, so it’s best to watch it now.
I can start Melody of Memory tomorrow.
I was wondering why Xehanort’s voice is different again.
In Birth by Sleep he was voiced by Leonard Nimoy. He passed before Kingdom Hearts 3.
In Kingdom Hearts 3 he was voiced by Rutger Hauer. He passed away the year the game released.
In Kingdom Hearts 3 Re:Mind and apparently also in Melody of Memory Xehanort’s voice is provided by Christopher Lloyd. It’s weird 😂
Yyeah. So I watched Re:Mind on Youtube, because the price of the game, which is mostly just the point of no return of KH3 with some extra and altered cutscenes and boss fights, is ridiculous.
It had some differences to the base game, but the gist of it was pretty much the same. It’s just more obvious that Kairi was saved.
And it raised more questions than answered them. Especially the after credits bit.
I know Melody of Memory won’t answer these at all, and I’m sure the story is just going to get weirder, more complicated and confusing.
@quester heh, this reminded me of one of the Rhapsody games where I killed a boss one time by dropping a huge stack of pancakes on its head 😄
