Seen on a train.

Update!: In London by Frank Riot (@frank.riot on Instagram).

"Google is among the corporations culpable for the theft of these childhoods. Since 2022, it has had a $1.2 billion contract with Israel, supporting the military’s oppression and killing of Palestinians. Recent documents also revealed that Google rushed to provide Israel with its latest AI technology at the start of the genocide because it didn’t want to miss out on a contract to Amazon."

@streetartutopia and now that AI is being used to indiscriminately target Palestinians... the dystopia is now
@streetartutopia Why does an advertisement have access to individual search history? He or she should have used duckduckgo instead.
@Apan DDG is anonymized but the queries are sent to Bing. In the end, someone has your search query but they don't know your identity.

@Apan

I don't understand your point.
Do you mean that the advertisement against Google got the search history from Google or something similar?
Thanks!

@streetartutopia Heartbreaking and infuriating.
@streetartutopia
How sad that anyone can take such a complicated subject as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and deduct it to a small slogan and of course use powerful word such as genocide.
@Qube66 @streetartutopia Fuck off troll.

@stib @streetartutopia
Such a refine comment :)

Though we don't really know each other (and I'm sure you are awesome), may I suggest you'll try to approach complicated topics with a critical thinking?

@Qube66 @stib @streetartutopia it's not complicated, it is genocide. So are you stupid? or evil? or both?
@Qube66 @streetartutopia What part of fuck off troll didn't you understand? Fuck off troll.

@Qube66 @streetartutopia only one side is guilty of ethnic cleansing, it’s not a conflict, it’s a holocaust.

It’s awfully similar to the Jewish-N*zi quarrel we learnt about in history

@nr @streetartutopia
Repeating something in different wording doesn't make it true (proofs are).
I wonder if you ever put yourself in someone from Israel shoes (say dancing at a party on Oct 7th) and think what they have been putting through?
@Qube66 @streetartutopia babes it’s January 2025 you’re a few months late

@nr @streetartutopia

I'm all in for open, honest discussion—to break the echo chamber and reclaim agency over our minds in these crazy times.

May we all be safe, wherever we are! 😊

@Qube66 @nr @streetartutopia just asking out of curiosity how many people calling it genocide does it take for someone to believe that is really true and not something produced by an 'echo chamber'? Just curious, how big does an echo chamber have to get before it's just the universally acknowledged truth of what we can all see happening with our own eyes in real time, before it's not an echo chamber and just the very visible majority of people who are against it and want it to stop?
@Qube66 @streetartutopia it is surely a very complicated topic, but let me try to simplify it for you: Israel is committing genocide. Israel was built on genocide. And everyone (including most Israelis) knows it. Does that help?
@streetartutopia @Qube66 ps. if anyone says to you that it isn’t genocide, they’re lying to you about that, and probably about other things as well, hope that helps.
@streetartutopia
The services Google is providing to Israel are actually used to process and analyze intelligence. Believe it or not, they REDUCE the number of civilian casualties in most cases…
Not that I'm a big fan of Google or anything.
@streetartutopia
Also, it is a well-known fact that Hamas regularly employs children as fighters. This kid could have been blown up for legitimate purposes, but we'll never know because no context was provided.
@streetartutopia
Furthermore:
Contrary to popular belief, Israel is NOT committing genocide. It IS undeniable that the Palestinians are in a truly horrific situation, but it really isn't Israel's fault. They invaded Gaza to deal with an existential threat, and they will leave the second they are done.
@LeyviRose @streetartutopia when will they be done? Ever?
@mjr @streetartutopia
Hopefully soon. I've lost two teachers in this conflict, as well as a family-friend. If this government can't make the right decisions, I hope the next one will. Thankfully, I've just turned 18, so I'll get to vote in that election!
@LeyviRose @streetartutopia commiseration. From England, it looks like it was Hamas who attacked but all Palestinians in Gaza seem to be suffering and the Israeli government objective for ending the attack looks unachievable, which would suggest either war forever or worse. I hope you vote wisely and things improve.
@LeyviRose There's no neat word for what Netenyahu's goal is. The job they have to do is to eradicate a nebulous enemy who, when boots are on the ground in a combat situation, comes down to "any Palestinian who looks at me funny". In leaving Gaza an uninhabitable ruin, they have ensured the conditions in which so many Palestinians feel they have nothing left to lose or live for, and Israel to blame, creating a ready supply of new enemies for the job they have to do, creating a vicious cycle. 1/
@LeyviRose In response to an existential threat, there is no action too disproportionately violent or extreme, as what is at stake is survival. It becomes "it's us or them" and survival is not guaranteed for "us" while any of "them" could conceivably exist.
I find I can't muster any surprise at people who witness this and reach the conclusion that the job won't be done until there are no Palestinians living in Gaza, which is why so many reach for "genocide" as the best description they can. 2/2
@LeyviRose
If it is not genocide, please tell me what it is. Because from what we can see it looks like a genocide. Or revenge at least, certainty not justice.
@streetartutopia
@Imprinted @streetartutopia
Here's why it isn't genocide:
I personally know plenty of soldiers, and they apparently have orders to avoid civilian casualties whenever possible. Israel tries really hard not to kill any non-militants, and considering the fact that Hamas uses human-shield tactics (launching artillery strikes from schools and hospitals, building their bases under public infrastructure, both of which are war crimes), I think Israel's doing an OK job.
@streetartutopia fuck terrorists and indoctrinated children, there is no hope for them in Gaza
@streetartutopia Stopped using as much as I could of Google services years ago now. I need to do more, clearly.
@streetartutopia
One of the threads to pump up my blocklist.
This time genocide denialists plus their ‘devil advocates’.
