Next up: a Bald Eagle that flew overhead just high enough for it to fit in my lens' field of view. Probably the closest I've managed to capture one!
A Northern Harrier! This one got some other birders I met on the sanctuary a bit confused, but a local volunteer explained: these are females, and most people are used to seeing the males, which have a blue-grey coloration.

A beautiful Pintail Duck avoids me, while a Coot chases me for snacks.
A red-breasted nuthatch gives me the "sup?". A black-capped chickadee looks like it's posing for the photo. A red-winged blackbird looks scrungly. And a dark-eyed junco eyes its next seed delivery.
