This ornamentation over the doorway of a 1903 former warehouse on Howard Street in Glasgow has always intrigued me. In the centre is a sculpted winged symbol (either an orb or a putto), on which you can still make out traces of what I presume is the original guilding. This is an impressive piece of decoration, which is so easily missed by those entring or passing the building that it's barely worth adding, and yet there it is.
