Done with church and I realize I left my wallet at home. Fortunately my favorite bikeable #KennyRogersRoasters takes #Maya payment.

@evelyn I was shocked when we traveled there, I forgot my credit cards, and I could find so few places that accepted Android/Google tap-to-pay. The local payment systems are so pervasive! GCash, is that the one that's everywhere?

@royal
Well, #Google as a payment method isn't universal outside of their app store. Neither is tap-to-pay.

[It's especially funny when #Americans go to other countries and are surprised that they don't take US dollars. ๐Ÿ˜‚ It's a big world, y'know.]

Just remember, in the #Philippines, best to have a card (debit or credit) and some pesos. Even when #Gcash is almost everywhere, expect their system to be down (or whatever reason it is that vendors temporarily* can't take Gcash) every so often.

@evelyn Yes, we deal in cash most of the time there. The Google tap to pay had worked for me on another trip abroad, pretty seamlessly, thus my surprise on this trip.
