LaffyTrump is threatening ”shock and awe” next week. I fear that he’s hoping he can trigger huge protests, use that as an excuse to crack down hard, exert power over protesters—including using violence against them—to set a precedent, create fear, and ultimately shut down further efforts.
ADHDeanASL@GottaLaff His first term was a steady attack on the first amendment; it’s reasonable to expect those efforts to ratchet up this term. I foresee the darkest period in American history. I hope I’m wrong.

Widespread bloodshed? I don't foresee all that, fingers crossed, but I think it would be fair to call fascist America its own special darkness. @Nonya_Bidniss The civil war didn’t feature the wholesale gutting of the economy for the benefit of the ultra rich or the ending of rights for huge portions of the populace. @GottaLaff
