Design sketch for a coat to be worn by two at once. The coat is quilted of fabrics from family members and phases of their lives. The coat shows how caregivers create safety and space to transmit to the next generation ethics, values, wisdom. We impart lived lessons of tolerance, resistance, equanimity, joy. We show where love lives. We are where love lives.
