Let’s be frank,

… most of these fires is a user failure:
Rough usage handling or misuse; overcharging or overloading of power boards/plugs; incompatible chargers; etc.

Responsible users shouldn’t be penalised, and Lithium demonised, because we have idiots that can’t read user manuals carefully.

To consult and negotiate with EU for international standards to be introduced that minimises the risk of user errors.
(Namely, plug types, labelling and instructions, cable and charger standards among other features for reducing fire risk and product misuse.

I've seen too many e-bikes with amazingly unsafe electrical setups, including one where the battery was just shrink wrapped cells in a soft saddle bag to completely agree with this.
