@nikatjef @godpod went up for sale in the 1960's. Then quickly purchased by the Chinese (before that decade was over). This was not done through cash, but through something known as "foreign debt". They own so much of our debt that if it were cashed in, our economy would go from current position to nothing literally overnight.
