@spacehobo IMHO For people on BS it's a way to clearly demonstrate the concept of inter-platform communication without lecturing them on standards and protocols.
But it's too fragile to really rely on. I think it will get yanked / blocked at some point like when Twitter cut off the API. And they're still on a monolithic platform that can get sold at any time with no control of their experience.
So, BS with the bridge is better than them being on X or Meta but not the real fediverse.
@maj Yeah, that mostly tracks with my feelings, but I'm also waiting for absolutely everything to end over on BS the moment they leave the "looking good to gain users" phase and go into the usual "wringing our users like a kitchen sponge" late-stage mode.
