That Neil Gaiman "breaking my silence" blog post has the strongest Reynolds Pamphlet energy I have ever encountered. Buddy, you will not be writing your way out of this.

@tezoatlipoca
TIL indeed...

Alexander Hamilton: "Yeah, I *did* fuck his wife, but...." 🤣

@evacide

@peachfiend @tezoatlipoca @evacide

Dude, ya gotta see "Hamilton" already.

@darwinwoodka @peachfiend @evacide I guess so!

(I am ashamed to admit I have not yet seen the Hamilton)

@darwinwoodka @peachfiend @tezoatlipoca @evacide i despise pence, everything about him i hold in utter contempt but walking out of hamilton was the most relatable, bordering on likable thing he's done

@peachfiend @tezoatlipoca @evacide

In the Hamilton Mixtape album there is a song by Dessa called Congratulations, that expands on Angelica's part in The Reynolds Pamphlet (from the Hamilton musical).
The lyrics are bullets:

Congratulations
You have invented a new kind of stupid:
A 'damage you can never undo' kind of stupid
An 'open all the cages at the zoo' kind of stupid
Truly, you didn't think this through? Kind of stupid

Let's review
You took a rumor a few, maybe two, people knew and refuted it by sharing an affair of which no one has accused you
I begged you to take a break, you refused to
So scared of what your enemies might do to you
But you're the only enemy you ever seem to lose to
You know why Jefferson can do what he wants?
He doesn't dignify schoolyard taunts with a response!

@omvargas @peachfiend @tezoatlipoca Dessa is pretty great and I highly recommend her albums.
@omvargas @peachfiend @evacide This just gets more interestinger and interestinger, thank you!
@evacide He has somehow managed to write something that is even worse than Jian Ghomeshi's awful Reflections on a Hashtag. (Not including a link to that here -- it was a self-serving, victim blaming "essay" that attempted to justify his abusive behaviour.)

@Plumbert @evacide

That asshole is the reason I can never listen to my Moxy Fruvous albums any more. And I *loved* their stuff. Makes me think of him every time now.

@evacide Oof, yeah. That's the reference.
@mark @evacide
And... there is a two degree of separation connection there as I recall which, in hindsight, might have more meat on the bone than was imagined at the time...
@evacide Mr. Gaiman the question was "do you domineer women by telling them to 'not ruin the moment' and practice BDSM on them without common precautions like safe words?"
@evacide It took a few hours to confirm I did *not* buy Dream Country for my ELEVEN year old 10 years ago. Quite disturbing. Gaiman’s books were super popular with kids back then…
@evacide I used to admire his writing and followed him on various social media. I have since unfollowed him and really debate about the books I’ve bought and trashing them.
@evacide It's sad. He says he wants to continue to "learn and grow" but refuses to listen. Start by getting past the denial pal.
@evacide the "at the same time..." is atrocious
@evacide I cannot get over what a great description this is
