Yeasted #poffertjes for #breakfast. This has taken me nearly 2hrs

I have to say, I don’t have a proffertjes pan. So they’re big…more pofferts?

@psymorama I do like a poffertje (is that the singular?) though not had one for years. Hope it was tasty!

[Pretentious arse alert...] I spent 45 minutes yesterday making no-added sugar granola for breakfast this week. 😄

@hastingsmothman ooof! That’s extra! *I’m pretentious also alert* We used to do the granola thing with apple and carrot in, it was very good! I think we put honey though…I should really get back to that, I’ve got 10kg of oats on top of the fridge

@psymorama 10kg of oats? There must be some very oat-deprived, hungry horses round your way...! 😅 I enjoy making it. It's pretty simple.

I take your pretension and raise you further - I make my own oat milk (takes 30 seconds, 1:3 with water and a pinch of salt, whizzed in a blender and strained through a muslin). I reckon it costs about 10p for 3 days' worth (compared to £2 for Oatly with all the added enzymes they use to break down their oats)

@hastingsmothman 10p is absolutely wonderful and worth all the pretension going.

@martinhowitt they were pretty tasty though. yeast adds to the flavour I think and resting the batter for a good hour helped with the texture (maybe)
