@DurableAce I noted that the IOC were thinking of allowing more sports into the Winter Olympics albeit indoor ones. I really hope that one day they give their 'predominantly on snow' or whatever it is rule less weight and give a slot to 'cross.

@pete @DurableAce I remember that the Val Di Sole race was actually introduced in order to convince the Olympic Committee about cross being a Winter sport. :D

@mariusor @pete It would be nice to see, but I don’t think it is really necessary. The IOC made its rule and I’ve always felt that #CycloCross just didn’t fit and accepted it. And I still really enjoy the Winter Olympics.

The #ValDiSole race isn’t one I will miss. I found it too manufactured and more of a gimmick. As I think @mariusor is saying, it was introduced to make a round sport fit into a square hole.
