The rock crystal (that is, glass-like) body has a hollow area which seems to hold a rolled up paper with writing on it. The golden face has a hinge at the top, suggesting it serves as the lid. It also looks rather strange for a fish because of a quite flat line as the mouth. The legs are very long, thin, bent in a bow-legged stance, and end in paws.
