I'm not sure why it sounds surprising for Nvidia to be in the CPU/SoC game.

Nvidia has probably already shipped over 150 million ARM SoC chips, and they tried to buy ARM. They are clearly invested in the space.

Once Intel's exclusivity agreement with Qualcomm ends, I'm sure we'll eventually see Windows machines with Nvidia SoCs.

Soon we'll probably see what the Switch 2's SoC looks like, which is also expected to be Nvidia.

@dschaub @atpfm @siracusa Alluded to but unsaid is that the 150 million shipped ARM SOCs are (primarily) in the first/current Nintendo Switch. And maybe some in their Shield tablets.
