Bibliofishyđâď¸@ai6yr The Getty Museum has extensive fire protections for its collections. It has withstood being overrun in a wildfire before. I hope the Villa has similar protections in place.

Per Guardian:
âAdditional fire prevention measures in place at the villa include water storage on-site. Irrigation was immediately deployed throughout the grounds Tuesday morning. Museum galleries and library archives were sealed off from smoke by state-of-the-art air handling systems. The double-walled construction of the galleries also provides significant protection for the collections.â
Katherine E Fleming, president and CEO of the J Paul Getty Trust, said the museum is closed to non-emergency staff and will remain closed at least through 13 January.

@darwinwoodka @ai6yr My daughter who is an intern at the Villa said they were testing fire alarms there this morning. She left when the fire was only 10 acres.
