Yeah, that part is heavy-handed. Although I can immediately name an anime where the whole ‘plot’ is MC being a dog and looking up girls’ skirts.

Yeah, I was thinking about that anime as well but I don’t think that in that one the fan service was more about the dog being the target of the girls’ lust. It was only yabei because we see the dogs POV. I don’t think the girls were actually into beastiality.
