@randahl trump is nothing but the dancing monkey. People concentrate on his bullshit and thus their attention is stolen. The decisions are made by other people.

They will keep him for as long as he's useful and does what they want. He'll be thrown away when he's stopped being useful, like a soaked-through grocery bag.

@randahl Trump will do what makes him the most money. He cares less about anything else so why would he keep any campaign promises to the group that helped him win?

It wasn't the billionaires, they had money to burn, but it was the voters. I will say this: United States citizens prefer him to a woman as president.

Maybe after three years of JD Vance as president will change their minds.

I don't know much about US politics but I feel MAGA public will take a walk. It is just how it works with anti-immigrant and deep nationalist public almost everywhere in modern times. Businesses want cheap labor, nations need human capital (and not just talents, some don't mind just a bit more or working population), politicians need votes and these xenophobic guys are only good for the latter - you rile them up, they vote for you then it doesn't quite work out, they remain offended and ready to mobilize by someone else when another politician needs a boost he can't get from more decent circles.

If Trump minded immigrants he wouldn't employ them himself over and over again - from hospitality and construction workers to Elon Musk.
