Got my new MacBook Pro with an M4 Pro chip. I've seen this thing idle at 5.4 watts. Five point four! To Intel, that's a rounding error. If I'm not doing anything significant it rarely goes above 10 watts. The chip hangs out at around 40º C in a laptop enclosure with fans off.

Then when I push it, I've seen it spike up to about 90 watts while converting an MKV to MP4. And doing it at 12x - 23x play speed.

This is absolutely incredible engineering.
