Found a Navidrome streaming app for my AppleTV so I can now drop Apple Music and go "local" music collection on every device I have. I can use my DAP on the go, or stream from navidrome on any of my other devices including Music Assistant for Home Assistant whole house music whenever I decide to get a couple smart speakers or that new home assistant voice assistant thing hooked up to a couple good speakers.

@micahilbery Never heard of this, but I'm digging it (to also drop paying for Apple Music, it made sense when I was an Uber driver). Can I integrate it with Home Assistant and play out to Home Pods (or cast from an iPhone to a Home Pod)?

@jenzi Yep, there's a "Music Assistant" add-on for home assistant and you can use the subsonic music provider to connect your Navidrome server, then add home assistant as a player (and/or AirPlay and Chromecast).
