The year has come to, yet, another end. This means I can now provide the best and worst #VideoGames I played this year. I played a total of 33 games. Here's the list.

Best of 2024:
Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore
Chicken Police: Paint it Red
Entropy: Zero 2
Yakuza 4
Dungeons of Hinterberg

Runners Up:
Tails Noir [has a fantastic OST]
Onde
Monument Valley

Worst of 2024:
Secret Files 3
Hero of the Kingdom II

Even the "worst" games weren't inherently bad. Not a half bad year for gaming.

@mrgrumpymonkey you would laugh if I list my fav video games: Age of Empires and ONI πŸ˜… but I am not a gamer but these two games I will definitely let my kids in future play 🀣
@ilki I wouldn't laugh. I know not everyone enjoys this hobby the same way I do, plus there's the fact that most of these games I sat through, the mass majority wouldn't know existed. From my memory, I quite liked Age of Empires when it was new, and I know ONI is a strange beast, which I have never quite completed. I do own it for the PS2 though. Perhaps one day I'll dig out the old hardware and give it a go. Game On [only if you want to] friend.
@mrgrumpymonkey yees I dont know most of the games on your list of 2024. ONI was my fav game on the computer. I guess 2018 I bought it again 2nd hand and watched tutorials how to install it on my new laptop that was so tricky but worked I like Konoko as a heroine like Lara Croft (I played on PS1) 😊
@ilki The PS1 days were pretty wild. When I got mine, I was working at a grocery store and the lady at the flower shop sold that and a Sega Dreamcast to me, along with all of their games. I would have been in high school at that time. It was a magical time for me, finally getting to see 3D polygons on a screen. Metal Gear Solid is my all time favorite PS1 game. I even have a small collection of PS1 games I've accumulated over the years. Now I'm an adult, and I still enjoy games, new and old.
@mrgrumpymonkey sooo cool! did you also play on β€žatariβ€œ (I dont know the name of that retro console, but we called it like that as kids, you put a gaming casette on top of the device)? I remember playing Duck Hunt and Tank or Tennis on that πŸ˜„ Later in Highschool the boys in my class installed bomberman on our calculators 🀣
@ilki One of the earliest moments I personally can recall is being sat in front of an Atari 2600 at my grandparents house. Sounds like we grew up during the golden age of the arcade and home consoles. Once I built a PC, that was all I needed for gaming. Now I just collect consoles and will fire them up from time to time. I have a relatively large collection of them. The best Atari game is Frogger. Tank, Tennis, and Duck Hunt [NES] were all played back then. Was a great time to be a kid.
@mrgrumpymonkey aah yes Frogger I remember too
