Wonkette continues to provide context and reporting sorely lacking from other coverage of German politics and Musk’s endorsement of a Nazi party there. https://www.wonkette.com/p/elon-musk-boosting-german-fascists

“Musk’s politics have never been particularly mysterious, unless you are a political reporter for The New York Times.”

Elon Musk Boosting German Fascists, What Could Possibly Go Wrong

His politics are so mysterious!

Both Peter Thiel and Elon Musk came from countries where Americans ended their family's way of life.

Peter Thiel was born in Frankfurt Germany.

Elon Musk is from apartheid South Africa.

They likely grew up on tales about how American democracy ruined their parents & grandparents way of life & wealth under Nazism & Apartheid.

@Npars01 @heidilifeldman

Hitler was particularly enamored with the way the US genocided the Native Americans and conquered their land (a major source of inspiration for his "Lebensraum" policy). Meanwhile, US segregation and Jim Crow laws were the main inspirations for both South Africa's Apartheid state and Hitler's Jewish policies. So, rather than blaming America for the downfall of these systems, it's more likely both Musk and Thiel were interested in experiencing the "real thing" firsthand

@nceladean @Npars01 @heidilifeldman if you're taking suggestions on adapting historical policies, might I suggest re-education camps for CEOs.

@nceladean @heidilifeldman

It's possible that Musk, Thiel, Ellison, and Koch hate American democracy for reasons like a family history of racism, greed, plus vengeance & retaliation.
