The cool thing about the Animon Story type chart is that it's just an image. Sure, the examples go off of it, but nothing stops you from adding, subtracting, or completely replacing the type chart.

You could have it be as rock-paper-scissor-y as Digimon, or you could go deep into spread sheet territory and a complex web of strengths and weaknesses.

It does come at the cost of there being no special rules for anything by default, aside from Normal type. That's moreso up to the aspiring type chart makers to homebrew.
