I don't want gif searches and I don't want ai gif generators what I want is someone to bring back pictochat. Make it trivial for me to pull out a stylus and scribble a little doodle into a chat message and send it to friends or post on here. Not an image attachment fed by a 12 step workflow.

maybe when I finally snap and make an activitypub/mastodon client it'll be a blender addon 🤔

stuffing the message into an image attachment would be subpar but you work with what you've got I guess

@aeva you should do this, for no other reason than making silly mastodon api clients is fun
@halcy true. am I remembering correctly that you wrote the premiere mastodon python library?
@aeva no one has written another, is the thing,
@halcy ah! so it is the best one :)
@aeva stuff it into a text based vector graphics notation
@pupxel svg would be the path of least resistance, assuming it's commonly supported by mastodon client apps
@pupxel and the client being a blender plugin in specific would be so that I could just use grease pencil
@aeva
tired: render
tired: render animation
wired: render toot
@aeva trying to remember if misskey had that as a feature. this seems like a thing misskey would have
@aeva this is why glitchsoc used to have a drawing pad thing! but it doesn't anymore!!
@Skirmisher why did they remove it?! D:
@aeva —wait never mind, it is still there, I forgot you gotta click the "attach image" button and it pops a menu where you can pick "draw something" lol
@aeva (I couldn't find it at first and asked a friend if it still existed, and they misinterpreted their memory of the fact that cybre.space used to have it and then removed it—because cybre wasn't running glitchsoc, khr just cribbed the doodle functionality and then had to drop it again because maintaining a mastodon fork is a colossal pain)
@aeva gif generator that you toss gifs into to generate power. they scream as they are consumed
@aeva the louder the scream the more power
@aeva maybe not exactly what you asked for, but here owo/ a webapp that mimics the Pictochat experience https://pict.chat
