@ann3nova this is so good ❀️
@ann3nova this looks great in my client... but goddamn someone needs to fix the awful web client UI!

@frigginglorious
@ann3nova

That is now emoji art of how my cat feels when I get water on him

@ann3nova @katzenschiff
@underware sub-pixel-emoji-rendering!
@lttrspc @ann3nova @katzenschiff @underware And now, we need to talk about how frame rules work. Imagine a bus schedule…
Underware

Underware are German Akiem Helmling, Dutchman Bas Jacobs, and Finn Sami Kortemaki. They respectively reside in the cities of Den Haag, Amsterdam, and Helsinki. Their work is among the most popular of up-and-coming independent type foundries β€” happy-go-lucky, high-quality, text-friendly typefaces for both display use and comprehensive typesetting. Underware’s typefaces stand out thanks to unique aesthetics, finished quality, and a considered collective presence.

@ann3nova Was bin ich froh, dass ich keinen Screenreader brauche. So kann ich die süße Katze erkennen und mich dran freuen (mit dem unbehagichen Gefühl, dass es Menschen gibt, DIE Screenreader brauchen. Dilemma.).
@ann3nova friendly reminder that just like ASCII art, this is inaccessible to screen reader users. The best way to post art like this (which also fixes issues caused by narrow screens or windows) is to screenshot it and post the image with alt text. As it is, a screen reader user would hear something like "new moon emoji, new moon emoji, crescent moon emoji, full moon emoji..." and there's no way they could tell that this is art, let alone what it depicts.
@pwassonchat I added some text before the art. :)
@ann3nova e-ink technology has been there all this time, in our monthly paper calendars!
@ann3nova Ok that's actually a really cool idea, and now I want to make a tool for this
@ann3nova in my browser this appears to expand each emoji on mouseover ... no idea whether that was intended, but it's pretty cool nonetheless ...

@ity

This is a reply to an emoji art.
The compliment follows this colon:

That is interesting, mildly impressive, and adorable.

@ann3nova Nice, but I feel sorry for people using screen readers 😬
@gregoire That’s why she said it follows the colon: so they know when it’s time to skip it.
@ann3nova
@gregoire I put the message at the start of the toot as a warning. :)
@ann3nova
What do the AI's produce if you ask them to "make a black cat with emoji art"?
The results could be interesting!
@ann3nova "The art follows this colon" ...said the artist who tattooed my butt cheeks
