#NowWatching It's a Wonderful Knife (2023)

I'm watching the presentation by Joe Bob for #TheLastDriveIn #ChristmasCarnage. I was traveling and couldn't tune in while it aired "live."

Is it going to matter that I've never seen It's a Wonderful Life?

I like that Justin Long is here. I'm not thrilled that Joel McHale is here.
What's It's a Wonderful Life all about anyway? I'm going to have to watch it now, I guess.
I LOVE that Katharine Isabelle is here, but to be honest I'd rather have Emily Perkins.
Joe Bob is drinking eggnog in a Lone Star pint glass.

Joe Bob to Darcy: "Is non-binary the same as bi-sexual?"

Darcy: "Oooh no no no nonono no no"

I don't like that everybody is calling this person "weirdo" but they are absolutely a weirdo.

This is a lot like that episode of Psych where Shawn is transported by that elf to see what would be different if he never returned to Santa Barbara.

I guess probably that episode was also based on It's a Wonderful Life.

That episode of Psych... I always assumed it was a play on A Christmas Carol, and I don't think it's a stretch to think maybe It's a Wonderful Life was a play on A Christmas Carol and now these other things are 2 steps removed. That's something.
I like Bernie.
Joe Bob is going down a dark path of forlorn self reflection.
Jole McHale is pretty good. He's not bothering me at all.
This is pretty good.

Fun. The song for the start of the credit roll is "Joy to the girls, all around the world"

There are just a bunch of gay characters in this movie. Joe Bob mentioned earlier how while they were writing the screenplay they at one point made ALMOST THE ENTIRE CAST OF CHARACTERS gay.
