There is no value at all in the announced Apple Intelligence roadmap. The value we should have seen is a better Siri, and a developer API, *like every other service*. Neither exist. There are no third party apps to build on and showcase Apple Intelligence, there are no third party apps that will get a massive 'free' upgrade from AI whenever Apple's second-generation model launches. And it supports a tiny fraction of Apple's supported devices in a handful of countries

@stroughtonsmith Yep. They were truly behind. It will be 1-3 more years of catchup.
@stroughtonsmith @9to5Mac The shareholders beg to differ…
@stroughtonsmith but… but it looked nice in the keynote and got a round of applause from investors 🥺
@stroughtonsmith so far apple intelligence is really not very impressive at all
@stroughtonsmith @9to5Mac I don’t know, it created this great picture of me with a dog head pimple coming out of my scalp. Surely that is worth *something*?
@stroughtonsmith This. My daily experience is identical, just had a round of settings to switch off, and Siri sucks the same as always

@stroughtonsmith @9to5Mac

I remember on an episode of @atpfm where Marco was talking about possible strengths of a future #Apple #AI product suite as being the ability for Apple to make good APIs that apps use for ML/AI tasks.

It honestly made me pretty excited for what the Apple Intelligence roadmap might be. Imagine a world where world class ML was as easy to plug into you #iOS app as world class encryption is today. That’s got potential.

What they’ve unveiled so far is such a disappointment.

@stroughtonsmith @9to5Mac It fully served its purpose - stocks are high since WWDC
