I'm late to the game, I admit (with roughly 3 decades Linux experience, I've managed to get my first laptop with an NVIDIA GPU that I care about), but on Fedora 40 it was like searching on how to do it, and installing one package, and let the distribution handle it.
Re-enabling Safeboot was slightly more exciting, but even there the excitement was watching the signing key being added to the UEFI BIOS.

Even hybrid graphics and CUDA usually just work, I'm using both on a 10 year old gaming laptop and a brand new mobile workstation with an RTX 2000 Ada Generation card.

Hasufin@estherschindler Gosh, the last time I had to get Nvidia drivers to work on Linux I had to install bvi and do direct editing on some binary files. Easy-peasy!

SpacefishTo do this I had to type "driver" in my start menu, then click a check box and hit apply.
goldbrush@estherschindler I just ignore installing any drivers. Graphics in Debian seems to be working anyway. Maybe not as good but I rather have that than installing drivers any day
