Seriously though… we’ll get through it, as a species. As individuals, as communities, as a civilization, maybe not so much, but I do think people will go on, in a world that has changed in ways we can’t even begin to fathom now. In the meantime, we fight in what small ways we can.

@gregly @AbandonedAmerica after societal collapse and we return to hunt-and-gather vagrancy, dysentery, and spending most of our days thinking about how to outsmart vicious predators, i do think that somewhere between 1 and 5% of the pre-fall population will survive for the course of their natural lives. the question is how many modern humans will be able/willing to give birth in the wilderness, and will it be enough to sustain future generations? not many, and probably not
