hi all, so i won't be at #38c3 – i did try to get a ticket, but in the end the motivation (and luck) just weren't there for me to spend 180€ for the chance to attend an event that i might leave on day 1 or 2 just because the infection risk is too high for me.

that said, if you know of a cool alternative event that's perhaps a bit more welcoming to people who can't afford to get covid (if only by being less packed), i would love to hear about it!

@ant Many hackerspaces open during Congress to watch talks together and socialise in a decentralised manner. Depending on the particular place, you will have many or even all of the talks, equally cool but less people, and windows to open. Maybe that would be a good compromise to get around the FOMO during Congress?
