Both facts are true. None is superior to the other.
Paved road or dirt road doesn't change any of this 2 facts.
In any case, you slow down (even with a bike -not even speaking of a motorbike), give them and you space, and continue to your merry way. It's not hard.

Change the deers by a bear, and the human presence by whatever.
The framing use like that is hypocritical, if you can't understand that, I can't do anything for you.

Although you are correct with your assessment that both of your mentioned claims are true, I think the intention of the post is to shift our view from a human-centered to a nature-centered one. We tend to see the deer as the annoyance, when we are actually cutting through their habitat for our convenience.
